The Process
Step 1: The Discovery
We share key sales goals & marketing tactics around your company and projects. (what’s working – what’s not working). This includes a deeper dive into your company’s marketing – what you have going on now, what you like about it, what your frustrations or roadblocks have been and what are your ultimate goals. You discuss your business writing needs, timelines and business objectives. I will be actively listening, asking key questions and making sure I completely understand your writing and marketing needs. This is also where you learn how I work and think. It gives you the opportunity to ask questions and clearly understand how we will be successful together. We become a team with one goal – your success.
Step 2: The Proposal
I write a statement of work outlining projects, timelines and fees based on our conversation. After review, we determine if all goals are addressed and outlined. From start to finish, I want to be sure you are 100% satisfied.
Step 3: Terms
We discuss the terms of agreement contract outlining deliverables, payment terms, deadlines, revision allowances (Typically two revisions per project) and other relevant business elements. Once we are on the same page, you sign the proposal and terms and then I get started!
Step 4: Payment.
For recurring or ongoing projects, I invoice by the end of each month to be paid on receipt. For individual projects, I invoice 50% up front and 50% due upon project completion. At this point, we discuss potential future project needs.
